 What is Life Coaching and Who is it For?

Life coaching is a partnership between you and me. I help you in your personal growth and meeting your life goals. In the first session, time is set aside to understand who you are and what you want to achieve. We then decide together and set out a plan of action to achieve your goal. It is a crucial step often missed when embarking on this journey alone. During our first sessions, we identify what is holding you back, be it fear, challenges or other limitations. Once we know exactly what the problem is, we are able to set that plan of action on the proper course.

When we partner together, we take a serious look at who you are now and develop a way to get to the better version of yourself. Working together, we can achieve and sustain this goal. In doing this, you may achieve a newfound life satisfaction you didn’t even know could exist.   I can’t do all the work for you, but I am your coach, I will be here to guide you and keep you accountable.

Life coaching is for anyone who wants to expand their awareness, learn something new, be inspired, motivated or just needs accountability from someone. Life Coaching is for people who need help finding their blind spots (we all have them), facing fears or overcoming challenges. Life Coaching is for those who know they need to get to a certain state, but don’t know how to get there.

About Me

In a nutshell, I am a master Life coach who uses holistic practices so that body, mind and  spirit are all involved in the process of getting you to your best life.  I have had much success helping others see what they needed to do so they could change.  I also am here to keep you accountable so you don’t give up because it can be hard (anything worth while is hard).

As my about Karen page says, I have experienced many twists, turns, backtracks and wrong turns on the road to where I am today. I have published a book about part of my life, you can find it here “The Caged Heart”. At the time of this writing, I am the proud mother of three great adult kids, with five beautiful grandchildren who I spoil every chance I get. Along with my amazing boyfriend and little dog, these are my loves, my light and my inspiration.

 The bottom line is that life is a challenge.  We are supposed to do so many things and be so many things to so many people. Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that we are supposed to be happy.  The thing is, we can all be happy, there just needs to be some adjustments to our lives. That’s where I come in.  I work with you to see what is holding you back and then we make a plan to achieve your goal. I don’t believe there needs to be any kind of chemical involved, other than  the naturally occurring  neurotransmitters in the brain that can be activated by making some life changes. 

Ethically, as part of my initial assessment, if I find that someone needs more help than I can give them, I refer them on to the appropriate health or mental health care provider.
